In winter time, you really have to take what the lake will give you. Ed and I had deadsticked several locations and had thumped in schools of fish but could not get them to fire up. We decided to troll over some shallow points in 20-30 foot of water using Captain Macks A Rigs and keeping the thumper on to help bring fish under the boat.
